A man was shot and killed outside his home in Sawfish Road, Newlands East, on Thursday evening, 13 November 2025.
KZNVIP Control Centre received information via social media regarding a shooting incident in Sawfish, Newlands East, at 18h45 PM. All available response officers and medical units were immediately dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Response Officers interviewed witnesses who reported that the victim had stepped out of his property when two unknown males approached him on foot. The suspects greeted the victim before one of them produced a firearm and fired multiple shots, with approximately eight rounds discharged.
The victim sustained four gunshot wounds to the head and was declared deceased on scene by KZNVIP Medics.
The motive for the shooting cannot be confirmed at this stage. The case has been handed over to SAPS for investigation.
