A #StockTheft case has been opened by the police in Motetema under Sekhukhune District involving sixteen goats and thirteen sheep at Tafelkop, Matshelapata village on Monday 08 December 2025 at approximately 22:00.
The livestock owner allegedly locked the kraal and went to sleep, but when he woke up the next day morning, he discovered that it was widely opened.
Upon further investigation, he noticed that the padlock was also damaged and both sheep and goats in different colours and orange tags on the ears were missing inside the kraal.
The elderly male owner attempted to search for the livestock at the surrounding areas but was unsuccessful, and he immediately rushed to the local police and reported the matter.
A manhunt of the suspects who stole the livestock worth R46000,00 is underway and anyone with information that can help should contact the Investigating Officer Captain Samuel Mohlala on 082 414 6464 , Crime Stop number 08600 10111 , nearest police station or MySAPSApp.
