On Saturday, JVR Response Team assisted TMPD after a vehicle involved in the robbery of a hitchhiker crashed and rolled during a pursuit. The suspects fled on foot. JVR immediately deployed multiple response vehicles, securing escape routes of the suspects attempting to flee from TMPD.
Through joint efforts with TMPD, one suspect was apprehended and handed over to SAPS. The vehicle was found with false registration plates and is suspected stolen. An unlicensed firearm was also recovered on scene. Well done to all members involved for the swift response and teamwork in the fight against crime.
