#SAPS in Jeppe continue to intensify efforts to combat serious and violent crime through intelligence driven operations.
On Monday, 08 June 2026, police received information regarding a man allegedly in possession of a firearm and suspected of being involved in street robberies within the Jeppe policing precinct.
The information was operationalised, leading police to a targeted location. During the search, police recovered a 9mm firearm, 5 rounds of live ammunition, and one magazine. A 31-year-old man was subsequently arrested for unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon, and the confiscated firearm will be subjected to ballistic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
