The body of a man who was reported missing from Ndwedwe – KZN on Tuesday, 16/06/2026, was discovered in a bush in the Ikhohlwa area of Emona – KZN on Friday (26/06/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched after the Operations Centre received multiple calls from members of the public requesting assistance following the discovery.
A Herdsman was gathering his livestock in the area when he noticed the body lying face down in dense vegetation. He immediately raised the alarm, attracting members of the community to the scene.
The deceased was in an advanced state of decomposition and was emitting a strong odour. His facial area was heavily infested with maggots. Community members identified the deceased as Sibusiso Wiseman Mngadi, who had been reported missing from his home in Ndwedwe – KZN.
Clothing and a bag containing personal belongings were located scattered approximately one (1) metre from the body. The deceased’s family later arrived at the scene and formally identified him.
The cause of death could not be established.
