The City is responding to a fire that occurred at the Atlas Substation in #Boksburg this morning.
Good news: Initial assessments show the damage is limited, and electricity has already been restored to: ✅ Impala Park ✅ Beyers Park
⚠️ The following areas remain without power: 📍 Atlasville 📍 A portion of Bartlett
Our Fire Department acted swiftly to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the substation.
👷 Technical teams are on site replacing damaged equipment, investigating the cause of the fire and working to restore electricity supply as safely and quickly as possible.
⏳ An Estimated Restoration Time (ERT) is not yet available. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
