Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a drowning incident in Despatch, near Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a five-year-old boy had tragically drowned despite all efforts from paramedics to revive the lifeless little boy.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
