Paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services have responded to the Folweni area of Umlazi, where there has been an accident involving a minibus.
There has been as many as 18 patients injured, in the accident, with injuries ranging from serious to minor. The paramedics treated patients on the scene of the accident as well as at the nearby Odidini clinic, where some of the patients were taken to privately prior to emergency services arriving on scene.
Once the patients were stabilized they were transported by the paramedics from KZN EMS to hospitals in the area, for continued medical care.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
