A man was critically injured and a woman seriously injured in a collision on the N3 southbound just after the Peter Brown offramp this morning. ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and discovered that the two injured were occupants of a light motor vehicle that collided with a recovery tow truck.
The 40-year-old man was left in a critical condition and his passenger, a 35-year-old woman, was seriously injured having sustained suspected fractures and lacerations. Both patients were transported to Gray’s Provincial Hospital for urgent medical care.
The collision occurred when the light motor vehicle collided with the stationary tow truck, which was assisting with the recovery of bricks that had fallen off an 18-wheeler truck.
The collision is under investigation by local authorities.
