A man was found dead with a stab wound in Magwaveni, Tongaat – KZN during the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
At approximately 04:46, 14 December 2025, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a report from a member of the community regarding the discovery of a male body next to a pedestrian pathway.
Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found an adult male lying motionless beside the footpath. He was unresponsive and showed no signs of life.
The deceased was later identified. It is alleged that he had been visiting a friend in the area where alcohol was consumed. According to the friend, they fell asleep, and upon waking, the victim could not be located. A search was conducted, during which the victim was discovered lying next to the pathway.
The victim sustained a visible stab wound to the chest.
