Today, Wednesday, 22 July 2026, members of the Tshwane Metro Police (TMPD) Drug Unit and K9 Unit conducted a targeted drug operation in the Eersterust.
A joint operation was convened in the area and the team found a male suspect in possession of 96 Mandrax tablets and 58 (100 ml) bottles of cough syrup. A 35 year old man was charged with contravening the Medicines Act, possession and dealing with suspected drugs.
The suspect was immediately arrested and detained at a local police station for further processing. TMPD continues to fight crime across all areas of our city. Well done to the team for their efforts.
