A woman was assaulted and robbed at her residence on Ridgeway Lane in Mount Edgecombe – KZN this evening (Thursday, 23/04/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched at approximately 18:08 after receiving a call for assistance. On arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed the victim and her associate.
The complainant reported that she and her friend were preparing to leave for prayer when at least two (2) perpetrators entered the yard through an open gate and gained access into the residence. During the intrusion, the offenders confronted the women and assaulted the homeowner, forcibly removing jewellery from her neck. She sustained injuries to her face and chest. Both victims were robbed of their jewellery, while the second victim was also dispossessed of her handbag.
Neighbours in the vicinity reported observing the culprits fleeing the scene in a white Volkswagen Passat or Jetta 6.
