A 24-year-old female is in police custody after she was apprehended on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, at about 10:45 for allegedly dealing in dagga at Madikgetla near Trompsburg.
The Xhariep Forensic Investigation Leads Unit (FILU) was conducting investigations around Madikgetla near Trompsburg on Wednesday morning, 27 May 2026.
During their ongoing investigation on #wanted suspects linked through DNA and fingerprints, they noticed suspicious movements at a certain shack. Members reacted swiftly and upon entering the shack, police found dagga and money on the table.
A 24-year-old female was apprehended for dealing in dagga as police confiscated two packets of dagga, 36 small packets of dagga, and 45 dagga zols.
The apprehended suspect will appear before the Trompsburg Magistrate’s Court soon facing a charge of dealing in dagga.
The public is advised to report any criminal activities to the police in efforts to remove drugs off the streets.
