At 19.48 the DFW controlroom received a request for immediate response to a serious accident reported at the notorious T- Junction at the Sonstraal road and Swawelstert Road.
The visibility was nearly zero and unfortunate 3 vehicles collided.
The DFW EFAR Volunteers ( Emergency First Aid Responders) were on site in minutes whereby Anthea Carlse and her team immediately started with the most seriously hit young man ( 25) to try stabalize him awaiting the Ambulance teams.
Simultaniously other DFW first responders took care of the other injured and secured the scene and made contact with EMS metro to give a precise description of severity, number of patients and required ambulances and further needs.
When Higher qualified EMS Rescue and EMS Ambulance staff and Paramedics arrived the DFw first responder crew officially handed the care over to them.
The spot of the accident is notorious, no streetlight, and no road signs either, as these were destroyed in a previous accident some weeks back and not yet replaced.
Police will most certainly investigate the circumstances leading to this drama.
