The Anti-Economic Crime Task Team in collaboration with the Counterfeit and Illicit Goods Policing Team arrested two suspects for drug-related offences at Minstrel Street, Mfuleni this morning, Wednesday, 24 June 2026, during an intelligence-led operation.
At approximately 04:30, a search was conducted at the mentioned premises where 433.16 grams of crystal meth, two sachets of crack cocaine, 13.71 grams of mandrax powder, four mandrax tablets, 6.693 grams of ecstasy, a modified imitation firearm, and an undisclosed amount of cash were discovered.
A 51-year-old male and his 29-year-old girlfriend were arrested for possession and dealing in drugs as well as possession of a prohibited firearm.
Both suspects will appear at the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged.
