Multiple PVES responders were activated following reports of gunfire at a residential property in Pretoria East.
Upon arrival, security services, law enforcement, and emergency medical personnel established a coordinated response while information regarding the incident was gathered. Witnesses on scene provided information to responding authorities, and the South African Police Service subsequently secured the property.
Fortunately, no firearm-related injuries were reported.
During the incident, one individual experienced a medical emergency and required treatment. The patient was stabilised on scene and transported to a medical facility under Advanced Life Support supervision, escorted by SAPS.
The exact circumstances surrounding the discharge of the firearm(s) remain under investigation by the relevant authorities.
The scene was officially cleared at approximately 00:00, following several hours of coordinated operations by all responding agencies.
