The Provincial Organized Crime unit with the assistance of Strydenburg SAPS pounced on three suspects in the act of allegedly illegally withdrawing pension fund monies of persons in and around Strydenburg.
On Monday, 05 June 2023 at about 00:10 the police followed up on information and arrested a female (33) and two males aged 28 and 65 respectively with a substantial amount of South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) cards, Identity Documents and Bank Cards at an ATM in Strydenburg.
The suspects could not account for the large amount of cards hence they were charged for Contravention of the National Credit Act of 34/2005.
The suspects will be appearing in the Strydenburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
