A 69 year old pensioner was choked during a home invasion on Ficus Road in Chelmsford Heights – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the property at approximately 10:52 and met with the victim. She explained that she noticed an unknown male picking flowers from her garden. She informed him to leave the property and was about to enter her home when the male followed her in.
The suspect choked the elderly female before forcing her into a bedroom where he covered her with a mattress. He ransacked the home and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a TV before he fled in an unknown direction.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspect, but no arrests were made.
