POLOKWANE – Members of the Waterberg District have made a significant breakthrough during operations, arresting five male suspects aged between 19 and 41 at various locations for possession of drugs.
Vila Nora Visible Policing members acted on information received about a person who allegedly deals in dagga at Shongoane 2, Mmatladi Section, Vila Nora. The suspect was identified at a specific household, which was searched. During the search, 139 sachets of dagga were confiscated, and the suspect was placed under arrest.
In another incident, a tactical operation comprising Thabazimbi detectives, Visible Policing members, and Thabazimbi Rural Safety led to the arrest of two foreign male suspects for possession of suspected stolen property in Thabazimbi town and Regorogile location. The suspects were linked to a business robbery that occurred at the Eskom Technical Office in Makarele, where copper cable with an estimated street value of R600 000.00 was robbed.
Operational members then proceeded to Mahwelereng, Makobe Village, where two male suspects were arrested, and 27 sachets of crystal meth with an estimated street value of R1 350.00 were confiscated.
The arrested suspects will appear in various courts within the Waterberg District.
