Sustained high-density #OperationShanela continues to deliver decisive results across Limpopo, with police intensifying coordinated crime-combatting actions from 09 February to 15 February 2026.
During this weekly operation, a total of 382 suspects were arrested for various offenses. Notably, 20 suspects were arrested for rape, highlighting SAPS’ firm stance against gender-based violence and crimes targeting the most vulnerable members of society.
Through investigations, patrols, roadblocks, stop-and-search activities, and compliance inspections, police also removed illegal firearms and ammunition from circulation, reducing the potential for further violent crimes.
