A forty-two (42)-year-old man was found deceased behind a house in an informal settlement in Tea Estate, Inanda – KZN after allegedly falling down an embankment today (Monday).
Members of the public discovered the body and alerted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) of the discovery. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found the man lying behind a residence. Information gathered from a member of the public indicated that the deceased resided within the area, however his exact address and family details were not immediately known.
It was established that the man had allegedly been walking along a narrow footpath near an embankment when he slipped and fell approximately three (3) metres. He reportedly struck his head against the wall of a nearby house.
RUSA Paramedics examined the man and confirmed that he had sustained severe head injuries. No other visible signs of trauma were observed. He showed no signs of life and was declared deceased.
