The Police in Tzaneen, Politsi K9 Unit, through an intelligence-driven operation, managed to arrest a male suspect whose age is unknown for possession and dealing in drugs in the Tzaneen Central Business District (CBD).
The multi-disciplinary team received positive information regarding alleged suspicious activities in the Tzaneen CBD. They identified an African male suspect at the market and approached him.
The suspect was searched and found in possession of the following: 36 sachets of crystal meth, eight sachets of nyaope, 80 packets of illicit Royal cigarettes, and an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was arrested immediately and will appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 16 April 2026, facing charges of dealing in illicit cigarettes and drugs.
The investigation continues.
