Durbanville: Theft Suspect Caught
During the course of last week, Titanium Securitas CPU received a request for assistance from Durbanville SAPS regarding a suspect wanted for theft of a bicycle.
Titanium officers immediately responded to the suspect’s last known address. Upon arrival, they made contact with the homeowner, who confirmed that the suspect was residing on the property but was not present at the time.
The homeowner granted the Titanium officers permission to access the area where the suspect was staying. During the search, officers discovered a stolen bicycle.
While removing the bicycle, one of the officers heard movement in the backyard and immediately investigated. The wanted suspect was spotted moments before fleeing by jumping over nearby walls.
Following a 30-minute search of the surrounding area, the suspect was successfully located and detained. The suspect, along with the recovered stolen property, was handed over to Durbanville SAPS for further investigation and processing on multiple charges
