A foreign national has been left in a critical condition following a stabbing incident in the Canehaven area of Phoenix on Friday evening.
KZN VIP received multiple reports requesting urgent medical assistance after an altercation reportedly occurred at a local business premises. Upon arrival, KZN VIP medics found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to the head.
Advanced life support treatment was initiated on scene by KZN VIP before the patient was stabilised and transported rapidly to a nearby medical facility for further medical care. The patient remains in a critical condition.
The exact circumstances leading up to the incident cannot be confirmed at this stage and remain the subject of an ongoing investigation.
Members of SAPS attended the scene and detained two suspects for questioning. It is alleged that the suspects are known to the victims.
All emergency services were in attendance.
