A man in his 30’s is in a critical condition after he was hit by a car on the R21 in Johannesburg East early this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the critically injured man lying in the middle lane of the road.
Emergency workers assessed the patient, finding that he sustained severe trauma to his head and legs. Advanced life support was performed on him to maintain his stability.
He was then promptly transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the exact cause of the collision.
