Crisis Medical Paramedics were called to a pedestrian collision just off Umhlanga Rocks Drive by the Shell Petrol station at 16:20 yesterday.
On arrival, paramedics found that a 43 year old male had sustained injuries to his leg after being hit by a passing vehicle. Great care was taken to immobilise the man to reduce any risk of further injuries, he was then placed on a spine board before being transported to a local hospital by Crisis Medical ambulance.
It is believed that the man attempted to cross the road when an unsighted vehicle collided him however SAPS will be investigating.
