This afternoon paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services, were called to the Nlomendleni area of the ILembe district in KZN.
The paramedics responded to a dam on a farm in the area where a group of children had been swimming in the dam. Tragically two of the boys in the group aged about 8&10 years old respectively, had drowned.
When the paramedics arrived on scene the boys had already been recovered from the dam by local community members. Sadly they had both already passed away.
The police responded to the scene with the paramedics and are investigating the incident.
