Two people were injured this afternoon when a light motor vehicle rear-ended a stationary bakkie on the M3 Highway in Constantia in the Western Cape.
An ER24 paramedic was returning to his branch when he can across the incident.
The wrecked light motor vehicle was found on the side of the road while the bakkie was found 100 metres down the road.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two men from the bakkie had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
