Easter road safety hasn’t been our only focus as a brand in 2017 so far however. If you know Imperial Road Safety, you will know that educating road users at grassroot level is a core focus for us. We are therefore, excited to announce that our Safe Scholars initiative, led by Bongie – Buckle Up Buddy, has now also been rolled out to schools in KwaZulu Natal, in a bid to increase the level of road safety awareness for learners in this region.
We also partnered with FleetWatch Magazine to take the famous Brake & Tyre campaign to Pinetown KwaZulu Natal on Wednesday, 24 and 25 May, in a bid to drive road safety awareness within the trucking and logistics sector, which is rife with controversy around their safe road usage – providing a key opportunity to further educate and advocate around road safety. As a result of this partnership, 4 of the 6 trucks that were pulled over during the event failed the roadworthy tests and were subsequently impounded.
