KZN VIP Response Officers swiftly apprehended two suspected housebreaking suspects following an attempted break-in at a residence on Brayford Avenue, Phoenix, on Thursday.
At approximately 11:52, KZN VIP Control Centre received a panic alarm activation from a VIP client. The homeowner reported that two males dressed in black clothing were attempting to gain access to the property. Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched.
Upon arrival, officers established that the suspects had fled after the property’s alarm system activated. A search of the premises revealed that two window latches had been removed from the rear of the property during the attempted break-in.
Response Officers from KZN VIP immediately conducted an extensive patrol of the surrounding area. A short while later, two males matching the description provided by the complainant were located at the corner of Chartford Drive and the Phoenix Highway and were swiftly apprehended without incident.
Following the complainant’s decision, the suspects were issued with a stern warning and released.
