A 30-year-old man sustained a stab wound during an altercation on Nkosi Johnson Road in Waterloo – KZN at approximately 03:52 this morning (Sunday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers established that the victim, who was under the influence of alcohol, suffered a stab wound to his left arm.
According to his friends, the group had been drinking at a tavern when an argument broke out with several men. The dispute escalated after the suspects allegedly began swearing at them. One of the men smashed a bottle and stabbed the victim once in the arm before the group fled.
The injured man was transported privately to a medical facility by his friends.
