SAPS Anti-Hijacking Unit, together with the Middelburg K9 Unit arrested a 36-year-old suspect for possession of drugs during patrols around Witbank on Tuesday, 25 November 2025.
While Patrolling along Diederichs Street, members noticed a suspicious silver BMW with Gauteng registration number plates, parked on the side of the road. The positioning of the vehicle raised suspicions and prompted members to approach the car and to conduct a search.
Members found one occupant in the vehicle and during the search, they found drugs, estimated at the street value of about R38 000.
The 36-year-old suspect was arrested on the spot and charged for possession of drugs. He is expected to appear at Witbank Magistrate’s Court today, 26 November 2025.
