The Johannesburg District Commissioner, Major General Nonhlanhla Kubheka led a successful #OperationShanela 2 in Ennerdale and Lenasia South policing precincts.
About 50 undocumented persons were arrested. During the operation, which was held around Emmerdale, 08 suspects were arrested for possession of explosives, impersonating the police and possession of unlicensed firearm. In Lenasia South, 01 suspect was arrested for possession of unlicensed ammunitions. Another suspect was arrested for possession of the gold bearing medal.
Inspection at liquor outlets was also conducted to ensure compliance, and 08 people were arrested for selling liquor without a license. Five other suspects were arrested for possession of drugs.
