A highly venomous black mamba was captured on a property at Gwala Farm – KZN this morning (Sunday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the premises at approximately 08:02 following reports of a snake on site.
On arrival, Reaction Officer Jordan Tarr met with members of the public and conducted a search of the property. A large black mamba measuring approximately two point six (2.6) metres in length was located near a stack of crates.
The snake was safely captured and later released in a sugar cane field at a distance from any residential area.
