A burglary was reported at a residence on Croton Road in Brindhaven – KZN at approximately 20:10 yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the scene after receiving a call from a member of the public requesting assistance.
On arrival, Reaction Officers made contact with the homeowner who stated that upon returning home, she discovered the back door had been forced open. An internal inspection was conducted and one (1) bedroom was found ransacked.
Preliminary investigations indicate that jewellery was stolen, however the value remains unknown. It is believed the suspect(s) gained entry by damaging a section of the wall supporting the gate before forcing open the back door.
The electricity supply to the property had also been deliberately interrupted.
