Just after 10:00 the Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call for a fire at a business premises next to Solomon Mahlangu drive in the Waterkloof Ridge area of Pretoria east. On arrival we assisted City of Tshwane Firefighters who quickly got control of and extinguished the blaze. One patient sustained moderate burn injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by a private ambulance. It’s believed that an electrical fault started the fire but the cause was not yet confirmed.
Thank you to Emer-G-Med for assisting the patient, City of Tshwane Emergency Services, Bull security, CSI security, SRU security and Brooklyn sector 4 CPF.
