A parrot was located at a residence on Crescent Place, Brindhaven – KZN yesterday afternoon (Saturday, 27 June 2026).
Reaction Officers were dispatched at approximately 20:30 after the Operations Centre received a call for assistance.
On arrival, Officer Thokozani Luthuli, was directed to the rear of the residence where the bird had been safely secured in a transport cage.
The parrot is believed to be an Eclectus Parrot and is predominantly red with a bright blue and purple chest, green markings on its wings, and an orange beak. It has a ring on its right leg. Despite enquiries, the owner could not be located.
The bird was transported to a place of safety where it will be cared for pending the identification of its rightful owner.
