A builder believed to be in his mid twenties is in a critical condition after falling about 4m off scaffolding at a residence in Karkloof this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics from Pietermaritzburg arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the ground and in a lot of pain. The paramedics assessed him and found he had multiple broken bones and suspected neck and back injuries. Advanced Life Support intervention had to be performed on the patient before they transported the patient to Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg in a critical condition.
It is believed that the patient lost his footing and fell.
