Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to a flat fire in Cornubia – KZN today (Saturday).
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the upper-level of the flat fully engulfed in flames. Residents were battling the blaze with garden hose pipes and buckets of water while others attempted to salvage household items.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Flames spread to an adjoining flat and damaged a bedroom. No injuries were reported. Details leading up to the incident were not established.
The blaze was extinguished on arrival of the Fire Department.
