A vehicle was hijacked outside a property on Clayfield Drive in Phoenix earlier this morning, 8 October 2025.
Just after 09h45 AM, KZNVIP Control Centre received a panic notification from the residence with reports indicating that the homeowner’s father had been held up outside the property.
KZNVIP Response and Tactical Units were immediately dispatched.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Response Officers established that four armed suspects dressed in black clothing and wearing balaclavas had arrived in a white Hyundai Grand i10. The suspects held the victim at gunpoint before fleeing with his white Mercedes-Benz C250.
SAPS attended the scene and investigations are underway. KZNVIP Medics were dispatched to the scene thankfully no injuries were reported, the victims were left highly traumatised following the incident
