Durban Metro Police Service Strike Team Unit conducted a targeted operation at Newlands West Drive and Hillgrove Road.
During the stop-and-scan of a minibus taxi, officers discovered that the vehicle’s licence disc had expired on 31 July 2025. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was operating with a fraudulent disc and had been suspended from the system.
The vehicle has been impounded, and a case of fraud and operating a suspended vehicle has been opened for further investigation.
