A 68 year old female has sustained serious injuries following a home invasion in the Verulam area on Monday morning. KZN VIP emergency medical and security teams were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress activation from the residence.
Upon arrival, it was established that an armed suspect entered the home, assaulted the elderly victim, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of valuables. The patient was assessed on scene by Medics.
