A Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) member on patrol in Eastbury, Phoenix – KZN, stopped to assist at the scene of an accident involving an intoxicated pedestrian.
The Reaction Officer observed the pedestrian dancing on the roadside (Saturday, 17:35) before moving into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The pedestrian was struck by a white Toyota Etios, which was identified as an Uber transporting two passengers.
While Reaction Officers were on the scene, the injured pedestrian attempted to stand up and continue dancing, having sustained head and back injuries
