On Tuesday, 04 November 2025, the Durban Metro Police Service Task Team, working together with Crime Intelligence, received information about a white Toyota Corolla that had been hijacked in the Folweni area.
The vehicle was traced along a sand road off Mbuyiseni Place. Upon arrival, officers found the complainant emerging from the nearby bush, visibly injured. He reported that he had been assaulted by suspects who took his vehicle. The complainant indicated that his family would assist him in seeking medical attention and later proceeded to SAPS Folweni to open a case.
Shortly after concluding this recovery, information was received through Crime Intelligence about another hijacked grey Suzuki Presso that had been taken in the Sydenham area. Acting swiftly on the intelligence, the team located and recovered the vehicle in Lady Bruce Place, Morningside. It was later handed over to SAPS Mayville for furtehr investigation.
