A adult male was found deceased on a river bank in the vicinity of the Verulam Crematorium in KZN this evening (Thursday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received the call for assistance from a female employee from the crematorium at approx. 21:49 who reported that a body was lying on the river bank meters from the Shree Emperumal Temple.
Reaction Officers arrived on scene & found private services in attendance. It was established that the man was seen at approximately 18:00 lying along the river. According to information received, he had slipped hours earlier and demised on scene before assistance could arrive. This information could not be immediately verified.
The deceased was identified a sixty-year-old car guard working in the vicinity of the crematorium.
