The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Cable Theft Unit Officers, in collaboration with the Revenue Enhancement Team, conducted a follow-up operation targeting business premises with outstanding electricity accounts and illegal connections.
A total of 12 addresses in Benoni CBD and Cloverdene were visited and inspected, with 8 premises issued with fines and 4 premises were still disconnected.
