Mediclinic Victoria Hospital on High Street in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, was evacuated following a reported bomb scare (Thursday)
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a member of the public at 11:11 reporting multiple emergency vehicles responding to the medical facility. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and, on arrival, were informed that employees had received information indicating a possible bomb threat on the premises.
South African Police Service (SAPS) members were in attendance and initiated the evacuation of the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Members of the public are urged to avoid the area while authorities conduct further investigations.
