POLOKWANE – The Provincial Organised Crime Narcotics Investigation Unit arrested a 30-year-old male suspect for dealing in drugs in Tzaneen CBD bus rank on Wednesday, 07 January 2026.
The suspect was arrested following a tip-off received from a reliable source about a suspicious man at Tzaneen bus rank.
Members operationalised the information in Tzaneen CBD, where an african male suspect was monitored closely. At around 21:00, the members approached the suspect, matching the description and searched him. The following variety of drugs were found in his possession. A 228 sachets of nyaope, 53 sachets of crystal meth, 34 Cocaine(rock) wrapped in foil paper and 22 syringe as well as an undisclosed amount of money.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers has welcomed the arrest.
The suspect will appear before Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 09 January 2026, for dealing in drugs.
