The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Drug Unit arrested a 33-year-old Nigerian foreign national male and a 32-year-old female accomplice for possession of and dealing with drugs in Pretoria North on Friday, 23 January 2026.
The arrests were made following information received about suspected drug-related activities in the area. Acting on this information, TMPD officers identified individuals matching the provided descriptions.
The Nigerian male suspect was posing as an Uber driver, using this as a cover to distribute drugs in Pretoria North and nearby areas. Whereas, a female was stationed at their house used as a storage in a residential complex in Pretoria North.
The suspects were promptly arrested and are currently detained at a local police station. They are expected to appear in court soon to face charges related to possession of and dealing with drugs.
