In the early hours of this morning, Durban Metro Police Service (DMPS) Task Team members conducting routine patrols in the CBD received information regarding a house robbery in which a vehicle was taken.
Information further indicated that the stolen vehicle was travelling towards M4 South. Members proceeded accordingly, and communications later pointed to the Folweni area.
A Toyota Etios Cross was located abandoned at a residential property, with no occupants present. Further intelligence suggested that the suspects had relocated to another nearby house. Backup was immediately requested.
SAPS K9 Unit, SAPS members, and Metro Police officers responded and attended the scene to assist.
The recovered vehicle was transported to Umlazi SAPS for further investigation.
